The Festival will be held in the "Burgerzaal", Lange Hofstraat 4 in the town of Zutphen, in the eastern part of the Netherlands, from April 16^th in the evening to Sunday April 18^th in the afternoon. There is a total of six sessions: four concerts and four lectures, grouped in two sessions of two lectures each. See the festival programme for details. The burgerzaal was the place where meat was certified during the Middel Ages. Click here for details (in Dutch). In modern times, the Burgerzaal is only used for events that benefit the citizens of the city - we are very fortunate that the Council allowed its use for the Festival

Zutphen is a small town with a rich history. It is easy to reach by car or train: there are rail connections with Arnhem, Deventer, Apeldoorn, Winterswijk and Enschede. For general information about Zutphen see e.g. www.vvvzutphen.nl

The Burgerzaal itself is located in the center of the city, and within easy walking distance from the railway station.
